Mother's Day Ideas for Every Mom

Becoming a mom has been one of the hardest, sweetest, frustrating, and fulfilling things in my life. My two little girls are the biggest blessing in my life apart from my husband! They are funny, smart, kind, and creative. I marvel at how different their personalities are. It’s such a privilege to get to watch them grow and mature into these amazing little humans who have complex thoughts and ideas.

They’re both school age now (that’s crazy to me! I’m pretty sure I have a picture of me with my youngest in a baby carrier while we renovated the Inn!). I love how their schools always help kids to create special handmade cards for Mother’s Day each year. They always write the cutest things that turn me into a puddle of happy tears.

My favorite gifts from them haven’t been the store-bought ones, but the ones where we made memories together! If you are like me, a trip to The Strawberry Inn is so perfect for creating memories together that you’ll all remember forever.

If you’re not sure what to do during your special Mother’s Day getaway, here are a few sample itineraries that will work for any mom. Did we miss something you think moms would love? Let us know in the comments!

The Mom Who Needs some Pampering

  1. Book a massage!

  2. Leisurely breakfast at The Randall House – mom will be wowed by all the charm!

  3. A stroll through the lavender farm complete with a visit to their adorable shop for souvenirs. Is there anything better for relaxation than lavender!?

  4. Grab a book from the Little Free Library. Read on the porch swing with a cool drink from Windmill Coffee

  5. Late check-out so mom can sleep in!

The Mom Who Loves Adventure

  1. Book with early check-in to arrive early and play yard games out front on the lawn.

  2. Purchase a Fossil Creek Permit – get up early to go explore the wild!

  3. Plan a beer flight tasting at THAT Brewery

  4. Rent e-bikes from The Rusty Pinecone and cruise around town (tip: they will deliver the bikes straight to the Inn or cottages!)

  5. Dinner at Pinewood Tavern – great food plus a competitive round of shuffleboard and darts!

The Mom Who Loves Small Town Charm

  1. Browse all the small boutiques and pick souvenirs. (You know how it is, moms are always buying for everyone else and not themselves!) Our favorites are Fancy Finds and Moose Mountain, both in downtown Pine.

  2. Afternoon pizza and live music at Old County Inn (Thrillists’ top rated small town restaurant!)

  3. Get treats from Pie Bar, our local empanada spot for brunch!

  4. Pre-order matching Strawberry Inn sweatshirts, then take a walk down to the Secret Bridge and snap selfies together!

For The Mom Not Ready to Travel

  1. Give her the gift of a getaway with a gift certificate! We can send it snail mail or digital. Order now to make sure you have it in time for the holiday! Email hello@thestrawberryinn.com to order.

  2. Bonus points: add on a set of our amazing sheets so mom can get the best night of sleep of her life. Much deserved, I’d say!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the amazing moms and mother figures out there, including my own!
