It may be a fictional holiday created for a TV show (Parks and Rec), but I happen to think Galentine's Day (February 13th) is an excellent excuse to hang out with your best girlfriends and celebrate friendship! I am so thankful for the women in my life who support, love, and encourage me. Getting away on trips together is always one of my favorite things! In years past, we've done beach trips, mountain getaways in Utah, and of course, weekends in Strawberry. If you're looking to do something similar, we've got you covered. Read on for my ideas on how to make the most of your time with your gal pals this Galentine's Day!

A Trip With Friends
Depending on the size of your group, I recommend booking one of the larger spaces like the Guest House or the Bungalow. This will give you and your crew plenty of space to spread out! Make sure you pack your favorite group games to play together. Plan on getting out and exploring together: hike the Pine-Strawberry Trail (just a few hundred feet from the Inn), visit Tonto Natural Bridge, and rent e-bikes from The Rusty Pinecone. For meals, there are so many great options! Pinewood Tavern, The Early Bird, The Chalet, and so much more. Each gal in your group could each take a turn picking where you go for meals; it's always fun to see what different people choose! Lastly, make sure you head into town to pick out souvenirs. We love Moose Mountain and The Honey Stand for finding goodies to take home.

Mother/Daughter Getaway
I think Galentine's Day can be celebrated with all sorts of girl groups! Mothers and daughters, sisters, even aunts and nieces can and should get in on the fun, too! A lot of the suggestions for a trip with friends will work great for this, too - but I'm adding on a few more based on my own experiences of getting away in Strawberry with my mom, aunts, and daughters. First, plan to do some cooking! There's something special about cooking together. Pop open some wine as you chop, simmer, and cook your way to a delicious meal. Next, plan a fun activity! We're big crafters in our family and love working on quilts together, but it could be anything that you are all interested in. Lastly, play yard games in front of the Inn and sip on coffees together from Windmill Coffee. I promise, you'll have a great time together!
We're booking up quickly, so if you're ready for the ultimate Galentine's Getaway, make sure you head to our reservations tab (or give us a call) to book!
We can't wait to have you!
