Family Getaway at Schnepf Farms!

The kids and I just got back from the cutest little local getaway, and I knew I had to do a quick little write up to tell you all about it! If you live in the Valley, you need to add a visit to Schnepf Farms to your list, especially if you can visit this month during peach season!

When we arrived to The Cozy Peach at Schnepf Farms, we got all checked into The Spartan Mansion. It’s a vintage camper, which as you know is right up my alley! It’s been restored so beautifully, and sleeps 4 guests (two in the queen bedroom, and two more in bunkbeds). There is a private patio, fire ring, bbq grill, and back inside are all of the creature comforts you’d need for a quick getaway!

The first evening, the girls loved riding the cruiser bikes around the campsite area. After that, we all got cozy inside the camper and settled into bed. We all slept amazingly that night! Early the next morning, we grabbed breakfast at the bakery onsite, and then the girls rode around on the cruiser bikes again before we went to explore. We got to play with a baby goat that was just two months old, same age as our little guy!

No visit to Schnepf Farms during May is complete without peach picking! We picked almost 10 pounds of peaches! We took them home to individually wrap each one as party favors for the girls’ double birthday party that we hosted that same weekend. Schnepf Farms grows 7 different varieties of peaches, and they each ripen at different times during the month of May. Make sure to check the website to see what will be available when you go for your peach picking adventure! One very important note: you do need a reservation to pick peaches. It’s super easy to navigate the website and book a time spot though!

After picking peaches, we rode the train all around the farm, and did the western shootout game. I was surprised when the girls were really into it!
