An EGG-cellent Guide to Easter in Strawberry

Updated: Apr 12, 2022

Can you believe it? Easter is just over 2 weeks away now! It is such a special time of year. Just like so many other holidays, we love the special traditions that take place here in town. I am so happy that we have been able to start some of our own, too!

A couple years back, we reached out to the Easter bunny and invited him to stop by The Strawberry Inn. Since then, he's made sure to hop on by every year! He leaves us the most magical filled eggs around our lawn spaces in front of the inn and at the Lower Park Yard and it is so fun to catch a glimpse of him before he bounces off to visit his other friends! We love the delight this brings to our guests who are surprised to find sweet Easter treats right outside of their rented property. To share in the excitement, we also invite our local friends to come and pick up some Easter treats, too! The egg hunt starts at 9am Easter Sunday. We love seeing your photos, so please be sure to tag us on social media so we can share! The kids love it and so do we.

You'll also be able to hunt for eggs at the Pine Trailhead as well as Pie Bar (right across the street from us!

If you are looking to attend church service while you are in town, two of our local communities are offering services and celebrations as well. Our family worships at The Strawberry Chapel (8579 Fossil Creek Rd, Pine, AZ 85544), right up the road from us! We love how welcoming they are and their wonderful teaching. This sweet church is pastored by the one and only Dan Berryman: YES, the same man who makes your favorite beverage at Windmill Coffee! During Holy Week, Strawberry Chapel will be open for people to stop by any time. There will be prayer, music, candles, and reflection. On Good Friday, the church will host a service followed by a Passover Seder at 6pm.

Easter Sunday Church:

Get dressed in your best and head to a special Resurrection Sunday service at one of our local churches. Strawberry Chapel will hold their Sunrise Service at 7am, followed by a brunch, then another service at 10am. The First Baptist Church of Pine will also have a Sunrise Service followed by another at 10:30am.

Up for a super unconventional way to have fun Easter weekend? The Sportsman Chalet, our neighbors right in town are hosting their extreme annual wrestling match on Saturday, April 16 @ 6pm! If you're down for some interesting fun and entertainment, stop on by! Last year they had about 375 people in attendance... wow!
