Our Favorite Fall Getaway - The Strawberry inn
Our little family absolutely loves out visits to The Strawberry Inn. We have been going there for a few years now and it's the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation time for us. Last year we went a couple of days before Thanksgiving (our school always gives us a full week off for the holiday) and getting to spend a couple of days in the cooler pine trees really is the perfect transition from calm into the holidays for us. We love it so much!
Things to do on a holiday friends getaway in Strawberry
"Have you thought about getting away with a friend for a night or 2 for the holidays? Taking a day or 2 off to get some fresh air in the gorgeous pines of Strawberry, AZ is such a great stress relief, will get you in the spirit for the season, and give you some quality time with a friend in the cutest setting."
Spend the holidays at The Strawberry Inn
"The Strawberry Inn, which includes both the iconic Inn on Highway 87, plus quaint cottages and airstreams around the corner on Fossil Creek Road, has adorned the properties with ample Christmas cheer. You’ll find garlands all over the Inn and miniature Christmas trees and holiday-themed pillows in each room — a loving and welcome touch."
WINDMILL COFFEE AT THE STRAWBERRY INN
"You’ll find beloved classics like a mocha or chai latte, as well as some fun specialty drinks like a spicy mocha or strawberry mocha. They also serve fresh-squeezed juice, Italian soda, hot cocoa, tea and snacks. They will soon be offering fresh pastries as well."
WONDERING WHERE TO STAY AROUND PAYSON, ARIZONA?
"We choose to stay in an adorable town just outside of Payson named Strawberry. A perfect place to get out of the busy hustle and bustle of life. Tucked away in the mountains, almost two hours away from Phoenix, but well worth the drive to escape the heat. "
OUR WINTER GETAWAY TO THE STRAWBERRY INN
"If you get the chance to escape the Valley for a few days this winter, and can time it when there will be snow in Strawberry, jump on the opportunity! The Strawberry Inn is the perfect "home base" for all your snowy adventures and the food and winter wonderland sights will be something that you talk about all year long!"
AZ FOOTHILLS - Everything is better at the Strawberry Inn
"Just a short two-hour drive north from Phoenix, guests get the feel they are in some midwest town surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery. For us, Phoenicians who never experience the seasons, the fall trees, and stunning hiking trails are perfect for a new environment without the hassle of travel time hours."
PHOENIX WITH KIDS
"This cabin was perfect for our family! We made breakfasts at the cabin, and drank coffee on the patio while the kids collected acorns. We read books and played on the nearby community lawn area. Of course we explored Strawberry and Pine as well. But not even 24 hours in to our stay, we were drawn to the peacefulness and charm of the tiny cabin and honestly just wanted to stay put."
DEMI BANG
"The cottage was so cute – I love how there’s a white noise machine (you can play other noises besides white noise, such as rain, forest, etc). I also love how there’s a USB to charge at the outlets and reading lamps. Tyler and I love how every single area was thought out. It’s a pretty tight space but they utilize every inch of it."
THE HEART OF RIM COUNTRY
"I’m not sure if you’ve ever driven through Rim Country but it’s now my most favorite destination in Arizona. It’s unlike any other area in the state I’ve visited. It’s the Heart of Arizona and on a plateau that extends over 7000 feet in elevation, covered in Ponderosa pine forests and pristine mountain lakes. Simply gorgeous…"
All for the memories
